On December 16, 2008 we lost our girl to cancer. It marks the
end of an era for both Criscross and Laurjosh Kennels.
Lexi
was bred here at Laurjosh, but that is really only the smallest
part of her story. Her true legacy began when she was purchased
by Cris Natali as a puppy. I wasn't sure she was going to be
show quality and Cris really wanted her for her pedigree, so off
she went. As you can see from her picture she was definitely
show quality, finishing with four majors. Most importantly
she was a producer and will likely keep her position as best
producer bred by Laurjosh for a long time to come.
I owe much to Cris for not only showing this girl, for breeding
her to really nice dogs and for loving her as if she had bred
her. Lexi was Cris' house companion for much of her short life.
Finally, Lexi was not only a producer of champions but produced
a great and enduring friendship between Cris Natali and me. We
have successfully co-owned several dogs, co-bred litters with
never a worry or squabble. In the end, this may be Lexi's
ultimate contribution to our lives! In this sport, true
friendships are hard to come by!
