Adopting/purchasing an older
dachshund can be a great alternative to purchasing a puppy for those
people who don't need to do the "puppy thing" with all the chewing
and special needs of growing up.
Here at Laurjosh, we routinely place our adults in
homes where they can be top dog after they have been retired from
showing and/or breeding, or if they exhibit some sort of health
issue that would preclude them from being bred. We will inform you
of any/all health issues that may have been encountered.
An older dog coming from our kennel is not usually
house broken, but adults--contrary to popular belief--are easier to
house train than puppies.
All adults are placed on strict spay/neuter
contracts. No exceptions. |
